Christian Michel
Christian Michel is Consultant for Southeast Asia at Switzerland Global Enterprise, the Swiss export and investment promotion agency. In this role, he supports Swiss companies in their internationalization efforts to Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines Previously he served as Manager International Institutions, with a focus on connecting Swiss
infrastructure and clean technology companies with Multilateral Development Banks like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
Christian was the Founder and Director of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Mexico for its first six years of operations. Prior to this, he worked as a Consultant at the World Bank Group; as Project Manager for Science and Technology in Swissnex Brazil, part of the Consulate General of Switzerland
in Rio de Janeiro; as Event Manager at the House of Switzerland during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games; as well as an intern at the Embassy of Switzerland in Brazil and at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations in Geneva.
Christian holds both Swiss and Mexican nationalities, has a Master's degree in Foreign Policy and International Development from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He is also a Fulbright scholar.
